Blue Water Kennels has been proudly serving visitors and residents of the greater Port Huron area (and along I-94 as far south as Grosse Pointe) since 1990. We are working hard to provide a quality boarding service, including grooming, for all our clients and our pet-guests.FOR EACH PET-GUEST, PERSONALIZED CARE! We care about our guests and try to get to know and offer each individual their best experience. Please let us know if you have any special concerns about your pet before a visit and any issues after a visit. This information is important so we can determine if we need to modify our arrangements for future appointments. It also helps us learn about each pet so we may accommodate their personal preferences and needs both during their visits and during their transitions back home. We also appreciate any other comments from our clients. We always love positive feedback but we also want to attempt to resolve any problem issues. This helps us in our ultimate goal to offer a better service for both our clients ("pet-parents") and their pets.

Blue Water Kennels is all about personalized care for the Boarding and Grooming of pet dogs and cats. Remember ..."When you're away, think of BWK!"-- a "pet hotel" for the safety and care of our pet-guests. (We do not breed or sell pets!)Our dog guests are housed individually in their own attached Indoor/Outdoor run which insures their freedom to inside and outside access at all times. While in their own personal space, dogs are able to view and enjoy the company of other dog guests. Our cat guests are housed separately from dogs. In the "Cat Room" our guests enjoy their own tri-level condo with food, water and litter. All guests are offered twice daily feeding of our quality kennel food (or you may bring your own) and your pet's medications (including insulin injections) can be given at no extra cost. Blue Water Kennels is located in Port Huron Township, MI on Griswold Road (between Range Road and Michigan Road).Griswold Road runs east and west and is located south of Lapeer Road and north of Dove Road.Our location also offers easy access to I-94 & I-69.

BWK amenities start with a beautiful, peaceful country setting -- plenty of grass and trees for both your pet and your own enjoyment. Other amenities include: Online "PetBookings" Service for reservations at any time!!Concerned, experienced Pet Caregivers -- responsible for observation, cleaning, feeding, entertaining, etc. for your pet's safety and comfort during their visit.Raised sleeping platforms with a blanket or fleece "bedding" in the kennel runs for the dogs, while cats have their own fleece-covered double-wide top level in their condo.A printed "Estimate" of prices and requested services is given to all clients when their pets are admitted for boarding."Guest Courtesy Card" informs pet-parents how their pet did during their stayOur Facebook page offers photos of your pet. Many of these and other pictures may also be seen on our website's "Fun & Extras" page.Additional Options include: Personalized Extra Exercise -- Leash walks and/or Play-yard time for dogs (15-20 minute sessions)Playtime can include swimming pool fun during warm and hot weather.Quiet Time Pats, Rubs, & Treats for dogs and cats (15-20 minute sessions). This "exercise option" is recommended for senior or exercise restricted pets and can also include active play for our cat guests. Special Snacks Van Transport to and from the kennel (in select areas)Bathing and GroomingAsk about Personal Artwork of your pet for framing or note/greeting cards.
