After my Passat warranty has been expired, I wanted to find a reliable one. I had a Harley sound coming out of the front and I googled to come here after seeing lots of favorable online review. And those favorable online reviews proved to be true.
They showed me what the problem was, and explained how they would fix it.

This company is the best!! They really go beyond the call of duty. I've had the best customer service, the prices are affordable and they deliver quality car repair. The owner is very personable and wants you to understand what is going on with your car. I appreciate them helping me to gain knowledge regarding my vehicle. I have been coming here for 2 years now. They are very knowledgeable about all cars (even my german volkswagen). Recently had a water pump and timing belt done on my old golf and happy with the turn around time. Prices are ok but i rather pay for better service than pay less for lesser service.

I first went to McNeal Automotive... back in I'd say 2013. I was recommended by a friend. Being a woman, I find it extremely hard to find good, honest, trustworthy shops to take my vehicle to. Most men like to take advantage of women, because a lot of women don't know squat about cars.
When I first arrived, I was trying to explain to the service man at the desk what was going on with my truck. A certified technician told me to get in the truck and lets go for a ride. Never in my life have I taken my vehicle to the shop and ever once been offered this. We drove about 2 blocks down Columbia and I told him exactly when the noise started. He knew exactly what it was. He explained to me that you should never take your vehicle to a shop and explain what a noise sounds like. Ultimately, anyone would be playing a guessing game, and may fix parts on your car that really don't need to be fixed.

Since then I have a new vehicle. This past summer my air conditioner went out, and I needed two front control arms. I had recently went to Belle Tire, they are who I always get my tires from. They initially told me that I needed the repairs, and gave me a price. I told them that I wasn't going to be able to pay for the repairs at the time, got the print out... and made my way to McNeals the next morning. I even made the staff 2 batches of cookies

The price was extremely good. They even went as far as to fix all my tail lights that were out, because they were concerned for my safety. Needless to say three years later I have never taken my vehicles to any other repair shop. In fact, anyone who ever asks me to recommend a shop.... my answer is always McNeal's.

McNeal's Automotive is trustworthy, reasonable, and they truly care about their customers. I am a repeating customer, not only because of the quality service, but the friendly faces of all the staff.

Hands down this is your place for honorable, good quality work.

The absolute BEST place in Pontiac to take your car for repairs!!! Great customer service and staff. Diagnosed, repaired, and stood behind their service and repairs with a warranty!! McNeal's Automotive is the most personable and professional automotive repair shop I have ever seen. I am extremely pleased with the quality of service and workmanship, including cost of repairs for my vehicle. Ironically, I drive a German Import I concede that I am not the target customer for McNeal's Auto, yet with few exceptions their staff willingly engaged with me and my vehicle with genuine concern. On the occasions where I was deferred to another facility it was due to not having the equipment at the time to diagnosis my Import. Now that's honesty and integrity where its needed. Having a German Import I am resolved to understand that their is a cost to ownership and general maintenance, I have found McNeal's pricing to be fair and consistent and I would encourage anyone within operating distance to visit McNeal's Automotive Repair to experience the superior level of service they provide. Mcneal automotive performed great service on my vehicle.

I have an older car, and I took my car in for a leak for one part, but when I came back to pick it up they told me I had more leaks, so of course the price shot up. The leaks formed after they put my car on that pressure machine. They never called me to tell about the extra leaks, I had to show up right before they closed. Also after paying close to 700.00, the next day my car started leaking someone else. Now I have to pay extra money to get that fixed. Also they are very expensive b/c they charge a 35% mark up on parts.
