Mac Towing

I couldn't have asked for a more responsive and professional towing service to help with two vehicles stranded on an unplowed, icy side street in Woodinville on Christmas Day. A relatively short pitch of hill had become hard packed and very slick.

One vehicle was off road in a ditch and the owner had called AAA for tow assistance 18+ hours earlier with no response. Another towing service passed by the location of the two vehicles and declined to help.

I called Mac Towing with the expectation that there would be no service available on Christmas Day. Not only did a Mac representative answer the phone immediately, she was exceptionally efficient about gathering necessary information. She Dan (driver) would call in about 5 minutes to coordinate arrival. Dan did call within 5 minutes, saying he was working with the Sheriff's Dept. on a call and had another tow scheduled. Dan estimated about an hour before he could assist us.

Fifteen minutes later Dan called to say his second tow cancelled and he would come immediately. He showed up within minutes. The hill was exceptionally slippery. Dan chained up and attempted to back up the hill, but could not get high enough to implement his intended winch plan. It was almost impossible for the chained truck not to slide while parked, so with full attention to safety Dan used the lift mechanism to anchor against the snow covered pavement and then shoveled under each wheel to bare pavement.

It would have been understandable if Dan had decided to call it quits - but he did not. He explored conditions above the stranded vehicles and located a viable location to work from. Using cable and straps he had just enough line to reach both vehicles and carefully extract them. Success! Clearly Dan is very skilled at what he does and was pleasant and professional the entire time. Thank you to Dan and Mac Towing!! Could not have been a better experience.
