- If you have had the unfortunate circumstances like many other people, of being been broken into, it's time to call a locksmith. Most of the methods used today in burglaries are less destructive of methods to gain access to homes or condos. The ease of getting into homes is based on the under secure door found in most homes. We don't mean unsecured homes as in their not locked, just that most of the locks you would purchase at a local store are not sufficient enough. The average handle or knob lock set is good for one thing, keeping the honest people out (but aren't all locks for honest people?) We always recommend a deadbolt above that handle or knob set currently on your door. The reason is the deadbolt has a locking mechanism that goes into your door about 2 inches, where as the average knob or lever only go into your door frame less than one inch. Also the bottom latch moves freely in and out whereas the deadbolt's name says it all, DEAD bolt, meaning it doesn't move unless actuated by the key or thumb turn on the inside. We also can install security plates on the inside door jam to further prevent kicking in of doors, which is a great deterrent. We all understand "if they want to get in they will," and it has been proven, but wouldn't you want your house to look more secure than the next so they would rather go to the house with the cheap knob which is easy to get through?

I used Dan's service today when another locksmith was TOO busy to help me with my car lock not working. I called him and went to his location 1-1/2 hours later. He came out to greet me and immediately started working on the lock. It was a problem lock of course (my luck) but within an hour he had fixed it. I am very glad I used him. Fair price and good service. That's what we all want !!! I will be using Dan in the future without a doubt.

I was stranded in a grocery store parking lot down near Manchester, New Hampshire, because the ignition lock in the car would not accept the key in the lock. I had no idea what to do, so after calling another locksmith in the area who was too busy at that moment to help me, who had actually referred me to his competition, Dan at All about Locks, I wound up calling Dan at All About Locks.
Dan cared about me and my situation enough to advise me how to get the key working using simple methods just about anyone could do, rather than charging me an arm and a leg to make an actually un-needed trip to my location. Dan knew all about how to fix my problem and within literally five minutes, I was going back down the highway.
Not only did he know exactly what to do, he was immediately available by telephone, and I could tell just from the sound of his voice that he actually felt for my particular situation, which was that, due to not being able to get where I had to go due to the stuck lock, I was unable to pay him at the time.
After I told him how glad I was to have gotten such good advice and how I was now able to start the engine with no problem, I was so appreciative for his not charging me for the over-the-phone fix advice, I felt happily compelled to do something to compensate him for his services; all Dan said was "well, I'm just hoping you'll write me a good review on Yelp or YP".
I enthusiastically told him that I would do that as soon as I could get back to safety. This is that review! Please contact Dan at All About Locks, as far as I'm concerned he's got to be the best locksmith in the area and really does know All About Locks and reall does care about his customers! :)
