Reconstructive Orthopedics

Dr. Schoifet replaced my hip October 2007. I went from the walker required for the first two weeks after surgery to walking without any aids. It was virtually pain-free and the scar is even negligible after nearly ten months. If I ever have to have the other one replaced, you can be sure that I'll be back. The nurses at Virtua sang nothing but praises about him and his work. Boy, were they ever right on. I did do a lot of exercising prior to the surgery which definitely improved the outcome and continue to exercise to keep in shape. The surgery enabled me to go back to the gym pain free. I can put socks and shoes on and even panty hose!!! This summer I did my own pedicures because I can reach my toes once more. I highly recommend Dr. Schoifet. He is a very talented orthopaedic surgeon.
