Wiz Child Center

I have 3 children (ages range 15-4) and 1 on the way. All of my children have attended or is currently enrolled in the Wiz preschool in Inglewood. I have the utmost respect for the directors because they have treated and done so much for my family. Before my oldest attended i would walk by the school daily and when my child turned 2 i decided i needed a full day daycare and the Wiz instantly popped into my head. I have yet to regret my decisions in allow my children to attend this preschool. Over the years Ive grown so close with the staff its going to be hard to leave my children in someone elses hands. My children were and are always happy when we woke up and walked to the preschool. thats how you know your children are in good hands. My 4 year old even gets upset when she didnt get some type of work sent home so they started to always put some work in her cubby.
Over all this preschool and daycare service has been good to me and my kids.

My children currently attend the Wiz Child Center. I have one in the infant center and 2 (set of twins) in there Preschool class. First off, I am very pleased with this school. My biggest fear and concern was potty training, because I am a single parent, have a full time job it was hard for me to potty train them. As you know TWINS are a handful. The Wiz Child Center got the job done. My baby is finally walking and her teacher/care taker told me that they are teaching her how to walk on different surfaces which is great and she is recognizing letters, shapes ect. She was a premature baby, born 3 months early and I thought she might have some difficulty learning. But at the Wiz they say she is doing great and loves to play with puzzles. So that's a big relief. Not only have they meet the needs of my twins, but they also are learning how to read which at my old daycare wasn't even on the list of things they teach. They even come home with home work. I have my mother pick up my children around 3-4 and they are never hungry. She is also happy with this school. Overall im happy with the choice ive made. Its a great school and as a single parent with 3 children the price is even better. (side note: the school is open from 6am-6pm which is prefect bcuz LA traffic is horrible and I cant afford to be late with my job so that is also another PLUS)

My son attended this school since he was 16 months old. I recently moved to gardena, therefore my son changed schools. The Wiz goes from infant to 2nd grade. During the time of our move, my son was in 1st grade. During the first week of his new school, his teacher notified me he was very behind. After a month of school, I had a parent conference with the teacher, who notified me that they recommend my child repeat 1st grade. His teacher said he was very smart, a quick learner and was willing to learn however, he was not taught the basic information he should have been taught. She said it is not the child because he is a bright, well behaved student, but the fact is the prior school was not teaching him at the grade level they should have been. I have met 3 parents since then who told me they have had the same experience that the child got to a new school and was so behind that they had to repeat the grade or go back to kindergaren for some 1st graders. One parent was told that all the kids that have come there from that school was behind. If you want your child to have a quality education, you will not send them to the Wiz. The staff an owner are very unprofessional, when I complained to them they used foul language and cursed me out.
