Rente Eye Services PA

I have been with this doctor for about 5 years now and he is by far the best out there. He truly cares about his patients and is very helpful. The staff is extremely nice and they get the job done very quickly.

This place is horrible! The staff is not knowledgable. At least one male receptionist didn't have a clue of nothing. He was not friendly , Rude and had a dismissive attitude. Let me break it down. My appointment was at 4 pm, and there was only one other patient in the lobby. I didn't get seen till 5:15 . They lost my new file I had just filled out! The same rude receptionist was the one getting my eye pressures and was unable to work the machine. The doctor was nice at first and apologetic for all the confusion . Then The exam started by him giving me an entire lesson on the anatomy and physiology of the eye! Before he even looked in my eye. At this point I'm annoyed because it's Friday 5ish and I had been waiting for ever. I just wanted to do the exam and be done! So after listening to him for 10 minutes I tell him very nicely , that if we could please start the exam because at this point I was in a hurry and was not happy we the front staff. He got very irritated and said that was part of the exam! So he finally started looking in my eye. Hallelujah! I apologized for rushing him. Out of nowhere in the middle of my exam he busts out telling me that he was surprised I worked in the medical field because I was very rude! I could not believe this man. The nerve! Whatever , he then tells me I have an eye infection and needed to start medication for it. Fine, when I'm getting ready to pay they charged me for my glasses exam (which I was prepared for ) and on top of that a medical office visit ($89) for the fact that I had an infection and he stained my eye! None told me that there would be additional charges if there was something wrong with my eye. I was livid to say the least. After I argued an paid I just left. I had to go back to get my prescription that I forgotten to take .So when I take my prescription to have my glasses made at LensCrafters , and I get my glasses ten days later and guess what? I can't see a thing! They must've given me someone else's prescription! Unbelievable....I had to have another exam somewhere else. so the prescription I was given was way off from my real one. I also had two other conditions in both eyes that was not diagnosed by Dr. Rente. My new eye doctor said that he does not believe I never even needed the medication that Dr. Rente prescribed for me. Which by the way was $35! Just don't go to this place. They will rip you off! And the service is the worst of anyplace I have ever been.

He is a very good doctor, I got the best eye exam ever, he listened all my concerns about my eye problems. His new office is really awesome
