I called them to change the cam phasers on my Ford F-150. Initially I was quoted 560 for the labor plus parts. I already knew I could buy the timing kit that came with the phasers, selonoids, timing chain, new guides, chain tensioner and gaskets for 150 so I brought it to them. They found a bad power steering pump which I had them change. They ended up charging me 2400 for the job. The prices they gave me on parts were way marked up. 650 for the phasers. 216 for the solenoids, 106 for the valve cover gaskets. (The pump and other parts matched what I would of paid). Either there parts distributed is ripping them off or they have a hell of a mark up. As far as the work goes the truck is running fine so no complaints there. Just think they are like the rest and will mark stuff up so they can make more. Ohh and they charged me just over 1100 in labor and it took them almost 2 weeks to do the work.

We used OE parts purchased from a local vendor for two reasons: (1) We have more success (less defects) using original equipment parts for some jobs than aftermarket parts and (2) The local vendors we use for OE parts stand behind their parts. In essence this means that we can stand behind our 12,000 mile/12 month warranty when we purchase parts that we feel will hold up to the job. While it is very true that you can purchase parts online sometimes at a much cheaper price, it is also true that these companies do not always warranty their parts. While we want to honor our warranty, we can only do this when our part manufacturers warranty their parts. Your original estimate was $2353, and your final bill was $2461, a difference of approximately 4.5%. I am pleased to hear that your truck is running well and I hope that this explanation will answer any questions concerning the bill. We would be glad to speak with you personally if you have additional questions or concerns. Needed a tow, was between these guys and another. Other place was slightly cheaper, but attendant was very rude over the phone, so I went to Bradshaw's (take note, businesses - you can't afford to be rude in a down economy), despite the troubling review below. Best decision. Towtruck driver was punctual, friendly and efficient; gave a clear sense that he knew what he was doing, and that confidence made me feel better about my choice before we even left the parking lot my car was in. Will definitely go to them again if I need help in the Goldsboro area.
