Ficks Landscape Supplies

For Mother's Day this year I was given my first 'above-the-ground garden box'. Being beyond excited to grow my first garden, I ordered for delivery the day after Mother's Day a yard of special-mixed garden dirty from Ficks Landscape Supplies on Corunna Rd. It was delivered on time that Monday morning. Within a couple days I had my garden planted. Excited about watching it grow each day...all of a sudden all I see growing were weeds. I'm not talking just a couple here and there. THEY WERE EVERYWHERE! You can see from the photo's added below what I'm talking about. I let them grow only because I thought, if I started weeding them out, I might pull some of the vegetables that I had planted. So I didn't for about a week or so. I took pics finally this week and decided to pull the weeds and (except for radishes) all I planted did not grow. I believe because the weeds prevented growth. So I go to Ficks with my 7# bag of weeds in the car and talked to a very very nice receptionist who referred me to Cliff in another outside building. She told me that if I wasn't satisfied with my answer from Cliff to return to her and she would leave a message for the owners to call me. This was on Tuesday of this week. Note: Cliff told me I wasn't the only person that had complained about this and that he had also had the problem and it was an 'ACT OF GOD' with all the pollen this spring! So unhappy with his answer, I returned to the kind receptionist and she took my name and # for the owners to call me. This is Thursday and I have not yet received a call from the owners. I will give them to next Monday and if I haven't heard from them, I will return to Ficks for further action. I AT LEAST WANT ALL OR HALF OF THE $ I PAID FOR THIS 'FAULTY DIRT'! Can I at this point do anything about the dirt? No! I have (since the pictures) weeded and re-planted my garden box and am hoping I have somewhat of a garden I anticipated having.
