Tire Shop

We purchased a set (4) of new tires here in Feb 2018. One of those exploded on my girlfriend as she was on the Ohio turnpike in mid April 2018 ( 6 weeks after purchase). An Ohio Hwy Patrol officer saw the tire explode as he was driving to the side and a little behind her. She immediately had to pull over to the side. The trooper stopped to help and told her it looked as if the whole sidewall of the tire exploded outward. The next business day we took the tire back to the Tire Shop and explained to the owner what had happened. His reply; 'what am I supposed to do about it?'. My girlfriend explained that the tire exploded and that she had just purchased the tires new six weeks prior. Again the owner stated it wasn't his problem, he wasn't going to honor the tire manufacture's warranty. We explained that we had purchased the tires at his shop because our previous interactions with the business had been very positive. At this point he referred us to his wife, who sent a tech to check out the exploded tire, but who also stated that they would make it right, replace the tire at no charge, and take up the issue with the tire manufacturer, that we would be contacted when the tire came in the next day. No calls. Two days later my girlfriend finally called them. A tech stated that the tire had exploded due to a very small nail being imbedded in the tread of the tire, but that they would still honor the manufacture's warranty and replace the tire the next day. Again no calls. We went to the shop the day following and were told by the owner that my girlfriend had obviously driven on the flat tire for a 'considerable distance' causing it to explode and that HE was not going to honor any manufacturer warranties nor give away a tire for free, that he doesn't honor ANY tire manufacture warranties; contrary to what he said when we bought the tires. I don't know why this business changed, but I have never experienced such inexcusably horrid service from any business owner before.

Excellent service in and out fast. When I needed a rim they let me borrow one of theirs that wasn't the same ones that were on my car while mine was being sent out to be repaired. If they didn't do that for me I would have been without a car for a few days. KUDDOS☆☆☆☆☆

Needed new tires before the winter season and didn't have much money. After shopping around, The Tire Shop on Telegraph Road in Flat Rock, MI had the cheapest prices! Huge selection of both new and used tires, which was great in finding tires within my budget! Their knowledgeable and friendly staff had me in and out in no time! Recommending them to all my friends!
