Mike's Lock & Hardware

Do not use this person!! Called and was asked to describe the lock-my answer it is a outside door lock with a handle. Had to pay 250$ upfront for the service call. He arrived 30 minutes later.
The guy gets here pulls up a deck chair, sits down, and says “I can’t pick that”. He said it was a “smart lock” that he didn’t have the tool for. He offered to smash the lock or window and I would have to get another lock for “about 50$”. I rent and couldn’t do this without the landlords permission and told him so. He offered to wait a few minutes until I got ahold of him but I wasn’t able to make contact. His parting remarks were to me “what good is a landlord” and laughed as he walked down my steps.
I called the company as the fee of 250$ for that is ridiculous and felt like I was being scammed. “Rick” who answers the phone for him became belligerent stating there is no guarantee and that 250$ was cheap but they gave me 25$ discount because Mike couldn’t unlock it.
Only after contacting another locksmith who was able to help did I learn Mike is the most inexperienced and rudest of the four in the area.
Don’t fall for his scam of being paid 225$ to take a ride and pocket your money.

charged over $400 to change two lock cylinders which should have been under $200. I called to complain and the person told me it took over 3 hours when we clearly had timed him at no more than two hours. I asked what his hourly rate was and he said they didn't have one. Sounds like they just make it up as they go.

Furthermore, I never received a copy of the invoice and when we spoke he said it would take THREE weeks to get a copy faxed to me! ...but he was gracious enough to waive the additional charge!!!
