Maddox Pain Management, P.C.

Dr. Maddox is a disgrace to his profession. He is arrogant, temperamental and lacks any compassion or empathy for his patients. He is just in it for the money he makes doing spinal implants. He has been investigated several times by the Medical Board. I went to see him for the spinal implant. I was previously on Methadone, he kept me on the same dose. There was some promising initial results after I received the implant, but then got a Nasty infection from a stitch that was sticking out the top of my Incision. I had the infection for over 3 weeks. After it healed, everything changed. When I turned the stimulation up it shocked the bottom of my spinal cord and pelvic area including my bladder, prostate, penis, colon and buttocks. He got very angry and argumentative when I told him. The implant was adjusted 4 times with no success. He dropped me from any meds. He refused to remove the implant. You would be better off seeing a witch Dr. than this Fruitcake.

What a tool of a doctor. I get an appointment with him as I heard about the implant and would like to come off the current meds I have been on for years. The tool didn't even listen to me, I said I wanted off the meds and he offered me fentanyl patches. I disagreed with him and said I wanted the implant and the be weaned from the meds I'm on now. Have to make it short but he gets all upset because I don't want the patch and asked if I had a urine screen and I said no. So he calls what ever that lady that works for him to do a drug screen. She walks me to the counter and asked me to check the meds in my system. I run through them and ask where is the one for pot (kidding as I have been in mgt for years) she covered the paper with hand and said "we don't screen for pot"... What? I have signed several drug contracts & ALL say that you get the boot for illegal drugs. If you want drugs and pot, he is your guy. If you want help, run as I did. He is a fool & hope the DEA gets his license.

I went to Dr.Maddox for quite some time his staff was always nice and courteous he was as well until I got the spinal Stimulator implanted and told him I was having a new pain where the implant site is as if it offended him he wrote on my records that he thought I was seeking more Pain meds and that I needed counceling since I've had 3 other doctors to look at my issue and all 3 agree it was implanted improperly and has to be moved and would definitely cause extra pain being agaisnt the hip bone instead of buttock or abdomen like recommended so if you ever go make sure you always make him think he's right about everything if he says you don't have pain you better agree or he will treat you like a drug seeker. Started seeing him and was taking 40 mg of methadone daily within 6 mths or less he had me doubled 80mg a day I never ask for increases just explained my daily life sucked because of my pain. Wouldn't recommend Dr.Maddox to no one on the other hand his nurse and staff get a 5 star review from me thanks again ladies!!!

I have been going to Dr. Maddox for several years and he has helped me out more than any other doctor could. He has given my life back to me. The nurses have always been wonderful and very helpful. I rcommend them to everyone and I share my story with them with everyone. I highly recommend them to evone that is in need of pain management. They go above and beyond to help you get better. Dr. Maddox worked with me an helped me get out of a wheelchair and to stay out of one. I received a spinal cord stimulator that has been a God send, it has taken away a lot of my pain and has allowed me to live again. Thank you Dr. Maddox and all of the wonderful nurses there. I recommend them to everyone.

Maddox Pain Management has the rudest nurses I had ever saw in my life. I have never went to this doctor but I do know people who has been and I have heard how these ladies speek to people, and I was sicken to hear how mean these nurses talk. Noone in this profession should ever talk to anyone like these women talk to everyone. I had over heard a nurse from another doctor's office trying to make a referal for someone, and by the time she had finnish her conversation with Maddox Pain Management she was furrious. They could not even show respect to other nurses. I feel that they should NEVER be allowed to work with the public again.
