I was in the shop today looking for a wedding dress for my daughter. The salesperson was rude and referred me to a "discount" bridal shop assuming I could not afford their dresses. Very disappointed and will not be using this bridal shop, but will be heading to NYC to purchase the dress.

I would not tell anyone or advise anyone to go to Mary's bridal in annoplis Maryland. It was the messed up place I ever been.I drove 4 hours to try on a certain dress that I had already email her about and she gave me a appointment and she was rude, did not have the dress so she lied, act like I wasn't important the lady Mary F. Was not a good person and I would not buy any thing that comes from her.and by the way I had the money to buy the dress that day.really upset Gail

MUST TO AVOID

This woman contracted me to write some copy for her web site. I bent over backwards to accommodate her—references, writing sample, tons of emails, etc. She gave me the go-ahead for the job, and, as is customary, I told her I would need a deposit—no different from what she would expect in her line of work. Though she assured me she would put the money in my Paypal, she never did. Simply disappeared, would not return my communications. Finally got her on the phone; told me she was “so glad I called”, assured me she was looking forward to getting the job under way. Her way of turning on the sweetness was almost scary. Then just disappeared again. She strikes me as untrustworthy and/or a complete flake. I would strongly advise NOT working with her, as well as reading the comments that are all over the web about her (wish I had). I’m not one to normally go out of my way to write bad reviews but in this case I felt compelled.

Great Experience

I have had great experiences since I first came to Mary's in 2009 for my first prom dress and ever since then I have come back. I have worked and Mary and her other consultants they re great to work with and it is undeniable that everytime I come I find a dress with more than my expectations. Mary's will continue to be my place of service for years to come.

I first went to Mary's Bridal in search of a prom gown. The consultants were so amazing I said I will be back for my wedding gown. 5 years later I returned to Mary's Bridal and the service was even better. The staff was great and they had hundreds of dresses to choose from. They were very patient with me not like some of the other bridal shops I visited. Mary was great she assisted my consultant in helping me find my wedding gown. I will return to Mary’s bridal in March for my first fitting and I'm so excited about seeing everyone at Mary’s oh and trying on my wedding gown for the first time.

I had a such a great experience. My consultant was so helpful finding the perfect dress. I came in worried that I wouldnt be able to find the kind of dress. I wanted (one with lots of sparkle) because of my size I was a little unsure. My consultant eased my fears and let to my perfect dress and made me feel like a princess !!!

My best friend experiences Marys with me and loved it as well! Thanks to the colleagues who recommended Marys to me, thought I'd pass on the favor!

I began my search for my wedding gown in March 13 months before my wedding date. I had been to several bridal shops and tried on so many wedding dresses

but nothing was right. My friends came with me to Mary's after it was suggested by colleagues at work. When we walked into Mary's we were immediately welcomed and made to feel comfortable. I tried on several gowns and knew right away it was "the dress" I had a wonderful experience at Mary's Bridal

The consultants are friendly and helpful, especially Natasha. You get attention and good service from your first visit until the day that you purchase your dress. The quality of dresses is great with many unique styles. I've read some negative reviews of Mary and her dresses and just wanted to say that I tried several stores all of which have variations of similar dresses and that Mary is not the type of person to beat around the bush, but who wants that when trying to find the PERFECT dress? They will listen to your needs, and honestly help you find what works best for you. Go there!

DON'T GO HERE!!!!

Bride's BEWARE!!! I had such a terrible experience here that I ended up buying another dress (a beautiful $2000 Alfred Sung) to wear at my wedding. This place lied to me about having a dress that they did not just to get me in the store. I drove and hour and a half to see this dress. They had me try on dresses while they "pretended" to look for the dress they didn't actually have. I got pressured into buying a dress my mother liked. The consultant would not leave my mother and I alone for a second. After that, they were impossible to get ahold of, they NEVER call you back, everytime I went for a fitting something was wrong. I was supposed to have a customed designed gown. At my first fitting I realized they actually gave me the sample! The customer service there was horrible. The dresses may look nice from afar but they use really cheap material. I don't think my dress is worth even half of what I paid for it. I seriously question the authenticity of the good reviews on here. Spare yourself the trouble and skip this place.

I Had A Great Time @ Marys

The day started at 10am I tried on about 25 dresses at 4 different dress shops. I was tired and frustrated and hadn’t found the right dress! Mary was my last stop around 5pm! I met Dorothy and she was the only one who actually explained the dress types to me. At this point I was opened to everything except a ball gown- the wedding is set to be on a beach in the sand. She picked two dresses and the first one was great, just the style I asked for. She added to the dress, and she really listened. The second dress she showed me was not the style I had in my mind, but it was beautiful. I out it on and smiled! That was the first time a dress made me do that all that day. I knew that was the dress. Mary came and added and took from the dress. She really made it mine. It was perfect; it finally felt like everything came together.

Thank You for the Best Bridal Experience Ever

Marys Was Fabulous!!!

My experience today was fabulous. Kelly immediately was very friendly and even knew I was looking for a graduation dress (clearly she was well prepared) Mary knows exactly what to look for and seems to find everyones "dream dress." Although I was nervous Kelly & MAry kept everything professional. They both were quite knowledegable and met all my expectations. Thank you so very much for all your help

Mary's saved my wedding day

After trying on over 40 plus dresses and visiting every store in annapolis and baltimore and everyone in between I came back to Mary's Bridal. I went to them first and they spent over an hour with me helping me to narrow down my style and

helping me choose the perfect color for my dress and I found the dress. But I couldn't buy the first dress I fell in love with my bf said so off i went to look at all these other places. Talk about the difference in service. Where my consultant at Mary's sat down with me and asked me lots of questions about my wedding and what I wanted, the other shops barely acknowledged me and mom when we walked into their stores, we had to walk through racks of dresses and try to pick ones to try on- some looked horrible, some okay but nothing compared to the Mary's dress. I spent so much time looking at other places that I woke up one day and realized I only had 13 weeks before the big day and no dress. So I called up Mary's and made an appointment for that very day and when I walked in the door they made me feel the way I wanted to feel. Beautiful and Special. and took my measurements and made my dream dress, the one I had been dreaming of since I put it on so many months ago, just for me. I just picked up my dress today and I can't wait to walk down the aisle and see my fiance' face when he sees me in it. Go to Mary's Bridal save yourself the hassle and enjoy your shopping experience. Tell them I sent you. Raina S.

Exceptional Treatment

As my momma used to say - if you want to get someone's opinion of something just say anything either good or bad and there will be half the people saying one thing and the other half saying the opposite and you will end up back right where you started. that said let me give you my experience at Mary's Bridal. I have purchased 7 dresses there over the last 12 years and have been very happy and very satisfied each time. The last time was about 3 months ago when I purchased my wedding gown and what a gorgeous gown it is. Each time I have been in the store they seem to be enjoying helping each bride choose their gowns, they always have had a big smile on their faces when they see me and when I have seen them approach each customer coming into their shop. They are always polite, professional and with warmth and great attitudes even when I have seen people be rude to them - who I personally would have refused to help. They always seem to go out of their way to make buying a dress fun and stress free.

So to sum it up-

They have made me a customer for life and I have referred numerous customers to them and all of those women have in turn been very happy. So in my opinion you should make up your own mind and visit Mary's Bridal for yourself and make up your own mind about the experience.

Read this Before you go there...

A couple of key things if you are thinking about setting foot in her shop: you are probably better off not even wasting the gas to get there, and if you are not rolling in money- beware. You see, Mary is a liar. Those tiaras she sells everyone on? How many of you brides have been told that it was "her original design" and it took her "years" to perfect? Yeah, nice try but she orders them from a distributer for under $40 apiece. Oh, and she changes the price from person to person. I’ve heard she got some brides to pay $400 or $500. The dresses she sells people on are often not silk as she claims, but a polyester blend creation that she got for cheap from the designer.

You will find a greedy and fake sales person when you come to Mary's. They tell you that you can come to a seating area. Then they give you a form asking you where you are getting married and your budget, and how many guests, and all sorts of things like this. This is all to assess how much money they can get out of you. They make the price much higher than any budget you indicate. Any budget you indicate, the price is usually $500-$1000 more than what you say you want to pay. After you fill out your registration, they bring you dresses. My favorite line from Mary was "Well as the Creative Director, I've been doing this a long time and I know what would look best on you." She designed a small handful dresses in there, nowhere close to her claims. "Most of the gowns you see are my designs." Uh huh, keep feeding me lies.

Her assistant has been sick every time I’ve been there, often times coughing uncontrollably throughout consultations. She goes on and on and on about very personal things that are a jumbled mess of problems that shouldn’t ever be spoken about with customers. She reeks of new and stale cigarettes, often times leaving the customer to smoke in front of the store. With the constant coughing, it is amazing that no one does anything to make her stop smoking, if for nothing but her own health. She bad mouths Mary to the customers in the dressing rooms and tells them horrible things about Mary and the business while in there. The lack of any loyalty from your right hand man is so sad...

A couple of things I have found out about Mary and her shop:

1.) She writes rave reviews about her business under different names.

2.) She does NOT have any other shops or warehouses. She does not have a studio in Easton or a warehouse in Canada.

3.) She has all other designer's whose labels are removed and replaced with "Mary's Couture" tags.

There are no prices or sizes on things so you can't go anywhere else and comparison shop. So you don't know what designer’s dress you are trying on or what the price should be. And they don’t tell you the total before they run your credit card. They take your credit card and license, then 10 minutes later, they come get you to sign the slips after its been run. They make copies of your driver's license and credit cards too... You are rushed through without being able to read the fine print and when you get home and read it, it is already too late. She will not let you change your mind once you have signed, you cannot have your money back. No exceptions. She won’t exchange things either.

The general feel of the reviews I find is the same as I feel and I wish that more people read them. I hope that all of the brides that have contracts with her have the sense to break them, demand their money back, and stay as far away from Mary as possible. I hope that all future brides read this and it helps them in some way. I hope that God punishes this person who has made a mockery of weddings and she gets what she deserves.

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE!

I stumbled upon this bridal shop merely because it was located next to JoAnn Fabrics, which I frequent often. My husband and I have an upcoming affair to attend which requires me to wear an evening gown. New in the area, I was very excited to finally have a chance to "check out" the gowns at this boutique, but my experience was miserable at best. Upon entering the store, a saleswoman approached me and before saying hello or welcoming me into the store, the first words out of her mouth were "what's your budget?" Taken by surprise, I merely thought that she was kidding, but it didn't take long to realize just how serious she was. Smiling, my response was simply, "no doubt my budget exceeds my husband's budget." While I realized quickly how gorgeous and well-made the gowns were, I knew immediately that my budget at a minimum needed to be in the $1,000-1,200 range, which was fine. My saleswoman asked what I did for a living, what my husband did for a living, asked where we lived, etc. all in determining what money figure she should place on each of the gowns I expressed an interest in. When she realized I was comfortable with spending up to $1,000, every dress from that point was priced at $999. On the upside, I found an absolutely gorgeous "must have" gown, but on the downside, the dress was a tad too snug around my hips and they refused to alter it. While there was one other possibility, my husband disliked the color. Frustrated with my husband's response, the saleswoman went on to insult both my husband and son about their lack of taste, etc. It was at that point, we left the store without looking back. My shopping experience was highly disappointing because of the arrogance and rudeness of the saleswoman. In my opinion, the saleswoman is simply "burned out!"

Oh so arrogant!

I stubled upon the store while out running errands and was dressed, well, like you are dressed when it is your day off and you are out running errands! The sales consultant was so obviously judging me and desprately tring to get a $ amount out of me on what my dress budget was. I met the owner who I didn't find particularly rude but she was extreemly arrogant and judgemental. As I understand it all dresses are custom made, they sell nothing off the rack and their prices begin at $1500. I won't be buying a dress from them - I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman when she was trying to buy a dress!
